What it is actually like
Small teams, real ownership
Four to eight people per engagement. You own features end to end, including the alert that fires when they break.
Remote by default
Two-thirds of the team works remotely. Offices in Austin, London and Lahore if you want one — no mandatory days.
Learning with time attached
An annual budget plus allocated hours during the working week. A budget without time is not a benefit.
On-call that respects your weekend
Shared, compensated, and built so it is rarely exercised. Reducing pages is treated as engineering work.
A hiring process with an end
Three stages, usually inside two weeks, with a decision either way within three working days of the final one.
No unpaid speculative work
No design competitions, no take-home longer than two hours, and anything beyond that is paid at our standard rate.
