About IT Staff Augmentation & Dedicated Teams

Staff augmentation has a bad name because of how it is usually sold: CVs by the dozen, junior engineers marketed as senior, high rotation, and a delivery model where nobody is accountable for outcomes. That model does exist and it does not work. What does work is a small number of genuinely senior engineers who join your team properly — your standups, your board, your code review standards, your definition of done — and stay long enough to build real context.

Our engineers are permanent employees, not contractors sourced per engagement. That matters more than it sounds: it means we can vouch for them, we invest in their development, they carry patterns and hard-won lessons between engagements, and you are not exposed to a marketplace rotating people out mid-project. Every candidate you interview has been through our own technical assessment, and you make the final call — we do not place anyone you have not approved.

We work in two shapes. Augmentation, where individual engineers embed in your existing teams under your technical leadership and your process, which suits organisations that have direction and need throughput. And dedicated teams, where we provide a complete pod — engineers, QA, a delivery lead, often a designer — that owns a defined product area end to end with its own cadence and metrics, which suits organisations that need an outcome without the overhead of managing individuals.

Commercially it is straightforward: monthly rates per role, thirty days' notice to scale down, no minimum term beyond an initial three months, and no placement fee if you hire someone directly after twelve months. We would rather you convert a great engineer than churn them.

Why it matters

What you get

Genuinely senior engineers

Average eight-plus years of experience, permanently employed by us, technically assessed before they ever reach your interview.

Integrated, not siloed

They join your standups, your board, your review standards and your definition of done — working in your codebase, not over a wall.

Continuity you can rely on

Permanent staff rather than marketplace contractors means low rotation and context that compounds across quarters.

Scale on notice

Add capacity in two to four weeks, reduce with thirty days' notice. No long lock-in, no severance exposure.

Backed by the wider firm

Embedded engineers draw on our architects, security and SRE specialists when a problem exceeds their remit — at no extra cost.

How we deliver

Our process for this work

Adapted to this service specifically — not a generic five-box diagram.

  1. 01

    Requirements & shaping

    3–5 days

Role definition, seniority, technology profile, timezone overlap, security requirements and the shape — augmentation or dedicated team.

  2. 02

    Candidate presentation

    1–2 weeks

Two or three assessed candidates per role with profiles and our internal evaluation notes. You interview and decide.

  3. 03

    Onboarding

    1–2 weeks

Access provisioning, codebase and domain onboarding, working agreement, and a first meaningful pull request inside week two.

  4. 04

    Steady state

    Ongoing

Delivery under your process with a monthly account review covering throughput, quality signals and any friction from either side.

  5. 05

    Scale or transition

    As needed

Add or reduce capacity with notice, or run a structured handover including documentation and knowledge transfer.
